In regards the debate on Teflon®, Accoat states the following:

  • All coated items shipped to customers are free of PFOS and PFOA
  • Accoat endorse the phasing out of PFOS and PFOA in the production of raw materials to the coating industry
  • Accoat endorses the statement being made by Professor Jens Adler-Nissen from DTU about that it way out of proportions to state that is can be unhealthy to use frying pans coated with Teflon®. As Jens Adler: Nissen says it:

‘This is to scare the consumers unnecessarily due to the fact that there is only a risk at very high temperatures and food being prepared at these temperatures would be uneatable.’
