Surface solutions for our customers

Environmental Policy at Accoat

Global environmental policy
Accoat provides surface solutions that reduce the strain on the environment and the energy use. Therefore Accoat contributes to the preservation of public assets and facilities. It is a fact that the production is energy-consuming, but taken into consideration the surface solutions that Accoat delivers the net sum of energy in a bigger picture is actually reduced.

Nature is not polluted by Fluoroplastics. Acid gases produced during the combustion process at high temperatures are neutralised in waste incinerating plants and if at all there is an impact on the environment it is insignificant. This is especially evident when considering the reduced pollution that is gained through the reduction of resources when Fluoroplastics are applied.

Local environmental policy
Accoat is certified to the environmental standard ISO 14001:2004. Accoat has been certified since 1999. This way Accoat has committed itself to:

»  Observe legislation in environmental matters
»  Reduce the pollution of the environment surrounding us
»  Reduce the consumption of raw material and energy
»  Diminish the waste per cent per working hour spent
»  Make sure that non-recyclable waste is delivered for destruction
»  Educate and motivate employees

Coatings of benefit to the environment
At Accoat we do our best to help reducing the global resource consumption by telling people about our different surface solutions, which can contribute to energy savings, reduction of daily maintenance and maybe more important the reduction of CO2 emissions. To the right four cases can be found, each telling a story of how Accoat helps improving the environment by bringing into focus energy savings and thereby the reduction of CO2 emissions.
